“Quality Tourism Services Accreditation Scheme” crossover “Certified Shop”

Introduction

To promote the tourism strategy of “Enhance industry service quality and optimize industry incentive system”, the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) launched the “Quality Tourism Services Accreditation Scheme" (QTSAS) in 2014. With the successful implementation in the past five years, MGTO collaborated with the Macao SAR Government Consumer Council (Consumer Council) on the “Certified Shop” scheme in 2019. This initiative aims to jointly define service quality standards for the tourism retail sector and achieve the greatest synergy. While protecting the consumer rights, merchants who provide quality services to the travel retail industry are recognized to encourage and support the industry to enhance their service culture.

Participants

All merchants participated in the “Certified Shop” of the Consumer Council and fulfill any of the retail categories mentioned in the appendix, will be automatically enrolled in the “Quality Tourism Services Accreditation Scheme".

Awards

“Quality Tourism Services Merchant Award”
This award signifies quality tourism services and aims to honor merchants who provide high standard of service quality. Any merchants awarded “Excellent Certified Shops” from the “Certified Shop” scheme during the year and acknowledged by the Assessment Committee of “Quality Tourism Services Accreditation Scheme” will simultaneously receive the “Quality Tourism Services Merchant Award”.
