Visa International (Visa) and the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) jointly launch "Experience Macau with Visa" on the first day of the May 1st Golden Week.

Riding on the success of last year's promotional program, and complementing MGTO's current year promotional slogan, Visa and MGTO are co-organizing "Experience Macau with Visa", a 5-month program to encourage visitors' consumption in Macau. Visa cardholders who spend in Macau will enjoy exclusive privileges and special offers at various participating outlets. In addition, they may also be entitled to instant lucky draws with chances to win fabulous prizes!

Having the Golden Week and the Summer holiday period within the duration of the promotional program, organizers of "Experience Macau with Visa" hope visitors from all over the world could "Experience Macau!" and, at the same time, the program could enhance the fame of Macau and boost consumption activities.

In 2005, the first "Visa Treasure Hunt" lucky draw attracted 11,000 entries. Last year, entries soared to 112,340, increasing 921% compared to the previous year, and resulted in an impressive transaction volume of 5.5 million US dollars. With the program greatly welcomed by cardholders, Visa and MGTO decided to jointly launch "Experience Macau with Visa" between May to September. From today until September 30, 2007, residents and visitors in Macau will have chances to enjoy discount privileges and win fabulous prizes. Residents and visitors spending with Visa at 34 participating outlets can enjoy a host of exclusive dining and shopping discounts; and for every MOP$300 they spend, they are also entitled to one Instant-Win Lucky Draw (maximum 5 draws per transaction). Fabulous prizes include Macau hotel accommodation and round-trip ferry tickets between Hong Kong & Macau. In addition, visitors enjoy an exclusive bonus by spending MOP$800 with Visa card anywhere in Macau to redeem a "Goodies Bag" from redemption booths at 2 designated venues, while stocks last!

To spread the good news of the promotional program, media from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan China, Japan and Korea will be in Macau to cover the event. In a span of 2 days, the journalists will visit various famous tourism spots of Macau and make some exclusive interviews.
