Taiwan, San Tai Fireworks Ind. Co., Ltd., won the 15th International Fireworks Display Contest. The prize presenting ceremony was held at the Macau Tower Convention and Entertainment Center on 22 November, where Director of Macau Government Tourist Office, João Manuel Costa Antunes presented the top prize of US$6,000, trophy and certificate to the winner. Portugual, GJR-Pirotecnia e Explosivos, S.A., the first runner up and Australia, FireworX, second runner up won US$3,200 and US$1,800 respectively, plus trophies and certificates.

Mr. Antunes noted in his speech that the spectacular event not only brought joy to the citizens and tourists, but also play the role to promote Macau to the world.

Ten teams from far and wide - Thailand, Japan, Australia, Taiwan, France, Korea, Spain, China, Portugal and Philippines displayed their unique style of pyrotechnic skills at the contest.
