Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) was granted one of this year's Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Gold Awards under the category: Travel Advertisement Print Media.
PATA's Gold Award for Marketing Media - Travel Advertisement Print Media was given to MGTO for its "Experience Macau" advertisement that portrays Macau as a destination that delights the five human senses: sight, taste, feeling, hearing and touch, with its unique characteristics.
The multicolored print advertisements, created by MGTO's designer, are colorful collages of pictures of Macau showing its unique cultural heritage, diverse entertainment, delicious cuisines, colorful events and exciting new developments.
In acknowledging the honor, MGTO Director João Manuel Costa Antunes said "we are gratified by the accolade to receive the PATA Gold Award again this year. This award is recognition of MGTO's determination and accomplishment in launching successful travel advertisements to boost Macau's tourism popularity."
PATA Gold Awards recognize exceptional achievements of Asia Pacific's travel industry. The winners of this leading travel awards program were announced Wednesday (July 23) in Bangkok. PATA attributed a total of four Grand Awards in different categories and 22 Gold Awards. The winners will be honored at a special luncheon during the PATA Travel Mart 2008 this September in Hyderabad, India. For more information on PATA Gold Awards please check: http://www.pata.org
