Photography Contest promotes community tourism
The “Tourism and ‘Leisure’ Buses: Exploring Community Charms” Programme Photography Contest (the “Photography Contest”) is organized by MGTO and coordinated by the Photographic Society of Macao, with the objective to encourage Macao residents and visitors from around the world to stroll in different local communities where the beauty of everyday-life scenery and stories awaits their discovery. Through their unique lens, participants can capture the cultural tapestry and fascinating colors of communities in Macao. Their photographs will spotlight the unique cultural depths and destination appeal within various local communities, sparking visitors’ interest in exploration.
Photos capture communities along Tourism and “Leisure” Bus routes
MGTO continues to promote the “Tourism and ‘Leisure’ Buses: Exploring Community Charms” Programme and community travel in Macao through a variety of means. The photo entries are required to capture the scenery of any communities covered by the bus routes under the “Tourism and ‘Leisure’ Buses: Exploring Community Charms” Programme. For more information about these communities, please visit the mobile website for the “Tourism and ‘Leisure’ Buses: Exploring Community Charms” Programme (https://leisurebus.dsedt.gov.mo).
Residents and visitors are welcome to join
The Photography Contest features three categories, namely the Youth Group, Open Group and Visitor Group. Photography enthusiasts aged 12 or above are welcome to join in their own names and submit their entry forms and photo works tothe Photographic Society of Macao by email: psm_2015@yahoo.com.hkfrom today until 30 November. Each participant can submit ten photo entries at most.

Interested individuals can view the contest regulations and download the entry form on the website of the Photographic Society of Macao (https://www.psm.org). Macao residents and visitors are welcome to join the Contest.
First, second and third prizes and merit awards in each category
The judging panel, comprising MGTO’s representatives and industry professionals, will evaluate the entries based on three judging criteria — “relevance to the theme”, “overall aesthetics” and “creative expression”. The first, second and third prizes as well as ten merit awards will be conferred in each of the three categories. Each awardee will be presented with a cash prize, trophy/plaque and certificate. The winners of the first, second and third prizes and the merit awards in each category will receive a cash prize of 3,000 patacas, 2,000 patacas, 1,000 patacas and 500 patacas respectively.
