The Macao Grand Prix Museum (the “Museum”), under the management of Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), inaugurates a new exhibition zone in November and launches a time-limited interactive challenge and showcase for the month, as part of its ongoing efforts to deepen the integration of “tourism + sports”. Through the richly diverse experiences at the Museum, Macao residents and visitors can learn more about the motorsport event, which preserves and promotes the culture of the Macau Grand Prix.
Champion race cars at new exhibition zone for FIA F4 World Cup and FR World Cup
From 6 November, the new exhibition zone for the FIA F4 World Cup and FR World Cup is open on the basement level, featuring the race cars driven by the champion of the Macau Formula 4 Race – FIA F4 World Cup at the Macau Grand Prix in 2025, Jules Roussel, and the champion of the Macau Grand Prix – FIA FR World Cup race in 2024, Ugo Ugochukwu. In addition, the exhibition zone for the Macau GT Cup –FIA GT World Cup has been reorganized so that museumgoers can view the car exhibits up close.
Optimized exhibition zone raises awareness of race support
Another exhibition zone named “Intervention Vehicles and Services” features a red rescue car on the basement level. Following optimization, a themed video is played on a loop on an LED screen, introducing the rescue car through a 3D scan and showcasing its equipment to raise public awareness of race support services, as part of the interesting education offered at the Museum.
Exclusive interactive challenge “ONE TAP AHEAD – Guia Start Challenge” for Grand Prix month
During the 73rd Macau Grand Prix (19 – 22 November), the Museum will offer a time-limited interactive challenge titled “ONE TAP AHEAD – Guia Start Challenge” on the basement level. Themed as “The Macau Grand Prix: The Secret of the Starting Lights”, the game introduces the unique “standing start” format adopted by the Macau Grand Prix.
After pressing the button to get ready as a motor racer, challengers strive to set off as fast as possible by tapping the button the instant the light signal is extinguished. As a test of focus and reaction speed, the game familiarizes participants with the motorsport rule — a race begins the moment all red lights go off.
The game features both a one-person challenge and a competition for two to three players. Every player gets two attempts per round. Museumgoers can learn about the motorsport rule by watching the light signal, cheering each other on and enjoying lively interactions, while experiencing the thrilling moments of a race start. It will be a fun experience for friends, families and children alike.
Showcase of winners’ entries in “Speed · Creativity · Macao” AI Creative Contest
The prize-winning entries in the “Speed · Creativity · Macao” AI Creative Contest will be showcased on a loop on the LED screen at the Museum’s Multi-function Room on 15 November. Museum visitors can appreciate the creative works which combine elements of technology and motorsport. The Contest is organized by the Macao Artificial Intelligence Youth Education Promotion Association and supported by MGTO, with the aim to encourage students and members of the public to create photos or videos portraying the motorsport culture of the Macau Grand Prix through the use of AI tools.
Committed to creating fun and educational experiences, the Macao Grand Prix Museum continues to optimize and innovate its offerings through introducing new elements to promote the city’s unique motorsport culture of the Macau Grand Prix. Residents and visitors are offered a vibrant “tourism +” journey at the Museum.
The Museum is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., except on Tuesdays. For more information and ticketing for the Macao Grand Prix Museum, please visit the official website: mgpm.macaotourism.gov.mo/en.
