The first batch of 52 Macau-based receiving agents has been announced by the China National Tourism Administration. The notice of CNTA released on June 16, 2002 stated that in a move to stimulate mainland residents making tours to Macau, safeguard the legal interests and rights of HK-Macau tour operators and tourists, and regulate the tourism market order in Macau, the list of 52 Macau-based receiving agents is announced to public.

There are total 80 travel agencies in Macau which are interested to be the receiving agents for ‘Macau Tour’. The first batch of 52 receiving agents – to be joined by the second batch soon – is permitted to cooperate with a total of 67 designated Mainland tour operators in organizing the ‘Macau Tour’.
