This year the 20th of December marks the 10th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macau Special Administrative Region. To celebrate this special occasion, the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) stages the finale of "Celebrate Macau" Exhibition from today (7 December) to 11 December at the Hong Kong MTR Station.
The design of "Celebrate Macau" Exhibition integrates the characteristics of Chinese and Western architectures in Macau where eighty-six Macau photos collected from the Hong Kong residents are exhibited to share their precious memory of Macau and Macau's developments in the past 10 years. Also, the "Celebrate Macau" booklets and Macau travel information are distributed at the Exhibition.
The "Celebrate Macau" Exhibition is divided into four areas, including "Contemporary Establishment" – showcase of modern development in building of new landmarks and achievements in recent years; "Sweet Memory" – Hong Kong people's collective fond memories of Macau; "Macau Star Trek" – selection of movie extracts showing Macau's beautiful scenery; and "Macau World Heritage" – introduction of the 31st recognized world heritage in China, the "Historic Centre of Macau".
There are a total of five "Celebrate Macau" Exhibitions, of which the first four were held at China Hong Kong City, Elements, New Town Plaza and Grand Century Place from August to November 2009.
