Macau Government Tourist Office attended the 16th International Travel Expo

The 16th International Travel Expo (ITE HK 2002) opened yesterday at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Director of Macau Tourist Office (MGTO), Mr. Joao Costa Antunes lead the senior staff of MGTO to attend the Opening Ceremony of ITE HK 2002.
The Opening Ceremony was held at 10.30 am, Mrs. Rebecca Lai, Commissioner for Tourism, the Government of the Hong Kong SAR officiated the Opening Ceremony.
ITE HK 2002 lasts till June 2. The first two days of the show are tailored for trade while the following two days are open to public. ITE HK2002 continues to win the strong support from worldwide industry professionals. It attracts more than 450 exhibitors from 50 countries/regions exhibiting their latest products and best services at the show.
The show is held at hall 1, phase II of Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The floor area is 10,000 sqm.
ITE HK 2002 is not only the largest international travel exhibition in Hong Kong, but also the most important and effective platform for Worldwide Sellers and Asian Buyers to exchange market information, establish new connections and develop business opportunities.
MGTO has been supporting this show for years. The booth of MGTO this year is about 90 sqm with the backdrop of Macau Border. 16 counters are built for the trade from Macau for selling the tourism products and services.
26 Macau’s representatives from hotels, travel agents, air company and ferry company attend the ITEHK2002.
MGTO has hosted a tea reception in Hong Kong Grand Hyatt Hotel to meet the trades of the Hong Kong tourism industry.
The organizer of ITE HK 2002 organizes seminars and cultural performances to cater for both trade and public visitors.
