Press Conference of Macau Summer Promotion

Macau Government Tourist Office, Shun Tak-China Travel Shipping Management Limited and New World First Ferry Services (Macau) Limited will jointly launch a special ferry ticket promotional scheme offering free return tickets to lure more Hong Kong travelers to visit Macau and boost the tourism industry and related trade in Macau
MGTO, the two ferry companies and Macau Foundation have held a press conference in Macau Tower Convention and Entertainment Center on 30 May to announce the details of the ferry ticket promotional scheme. Director of MGTO, João Manuel Costa Antunes, Chief Executive Officer & Director of Shun Tak-China Travel Shipping Investment Limited, Pansy Ho, Managing Director of New World First Ferry Services (Macau) Limited, Adolf H. Hsu and President of the Macao Foundation, Vitor Ng presented at the press conference.
This promotional scheme is one item in the Macau Summer Promotion. Macao Foundation will allocate funds for the Summer Promotion.
The ferry ticket promotional scheme offers various privileges to the travelers in the next 3 months. The scheme will be in 2 phases. In phase 1, traveler will be awarded one free return ticket from Macau to Hong Kong with any purchase of one full fare Hong Kong-Macau ferry ticket made in Hong Kong, any time any day of the week from June 2, 2003 (07:00 hours) to July 20 (23:59 hours) inclusive. Tickets could be purchased at the ticketing outlets of the ferry company only. In phase 2, tickets are incorporated into travel packages to be sold through the travel trade in Macau and Hong Kong from July 21, 2003 (00:00 hours) to August 31 (23:59 hours) inclusive.
Validity of the free return ticket from Macau to Hong Kong is 3 days from the date of departure of the purchased ticket and the traveling time of the free return ticket is restricted within 07:00 to 17:00 hours inclusive. Passengers can choose to travel on other sailing time with a surcharge and the return date and time must be specified at the time of purchase in Hong Kong. The free return ticket is valid for economy class travel only and the embarkation taxes are to be borne by the passenger.
