The year-end lucky draw for the “Macau Welcomes You Passport” was held on 28 February 2002 at Hotel Westin. The Director of Macau Government Tourist Office, João Manuel Costa Antunes, picked the first-prize winner.

The first-prize winner won the one hundred thousand cash and the other winners won the prizes of air tickets, hotel accommodations, accessories, coupons etc.

The “Macau Welcomes You Passport” was launched on 15 September 2001. Participants were entitled for privileges offered by the designated shops, hotels, and restaurants. Tourists could redeem a MOP20.00 coupon for consumption with the chops accumulated and even had the chances to win a whole bunch of valuable prizes from the lucky draw. Participants were mainly Hong Kong, Mainland China and Taiwan visitors.

The “Macau Welcomes You Passport” has attracted excellent responses from tourists from all over the world and recently won the Grand Award of PATA.
